I tried that and still no luck. Yesterday a Dell Hardware supervisor did a remote on my computer while I was on the phone with him. He looked at the device manager entries and the my computer entry and said it was DVD/CD-R combo drive. But I didn't recall ordering one of those. I thought I had ordered a DVD burner.

Old mistake...you have a combo drive, CD Burner/DVD player.
