Thanks to everyone that helped me here. HellComputer, your checklist was spot on.

I used a program called Data Recovery Wizard and it recovered just about everything. Just when I was close to giving up. I would recommend it to anyone with this type of problem. I hope it's not frowned upon here to talk up specific programs or items.

Thanks again. This is a great site and I won't be a stranger, I'm sure, being the owner of 2 Dhells.
