I'm not 100% about this safety hazard thing anymore. I have more than one colleague that has experienced pushback from Dell when they called in for different safety captures.
It used to be "Stop what you're doing and we'll capture (the part/the system)", but from what they explained to me, Dell pushed back and forced them to handle a housecall first before any capture would take place.
I'm not making this up. I was stunned when they told me. |

Duh. Of course they're pushing back. It costs them money. They want to see your home in flames before they recognize a safety issue. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

Well yeah I get that, but what happened to the days of responsible company management and on-the-spot safety captures?
Now people's shit has to burn up before Dell will act in a responsible and safety contientious manner? Pretty sick. |

I don't know any company that has changed its safety policy, besides Dell.
Well, no appliance company anyway. Ford and Firestone withheld safety data on their SUV tires as long as they possibly could.
You know Dell's policy, learn from the worst, and integrate it. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist
