Ya, I've lost ALOT of faith in Dell this past week.
I reinstalled windows and got all of the drivers and everything taken care of, but it doesn't seem the same. And its only 6 months old. Its a 3 grand XPS2 Laptop.
I called and complained numerous times, but to no avail.
Dell has a crap trade-in/upgrade program and should burn in hell.
But this is the first major problem I've had.
New Dell or Mac??? |

Welcome, Andy. What caused the reinstall?
New Sony or Toshiba? They top reliability surveys, and haven't been called on the carpet for outsourcing their US tech support to non-English-speaking countries. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

The reinstall was my own stupididty.
And probably no sony or toshiba because I want a laptop and it needs to play games.
Dell is like my only choice...
Would calling and saying I'm getting a lawyer scare them at all?
Or anything I can do about trade in? |

Sony and Toshiba are not available in gaming configuration? I wouldn't know.
No, saying you're getting a lawyer would probably get you hung-up upon. Dell has more lawyers than the Catholic Church.
Dell has no trade-in program.

That dell won't let me trade in my 5 month old XPS2 that cost over 3000 dollars for a new one.
I want a new laptop...but they won't comply |

And am I the only one that actually likes a computer when it comes straight from the manufacturer?
There is a reason Dell puts all that stuff on it. For ME to be happy. |

Back up your files and reinstall the OS again. Pay a tech to do it and stop whining cause you are wrong.

| Yeah all the extras Dell puts on your system is absolutely worthless. Its just another way for them to make money, not to help you out. Not to attack you but if you like those things, your the exact type of sucker that Dell wants and will get to call into Dell On Call and waste $100 on something you could just find on your own using Google. |
