Hi guyz,
Today as i type 10% layoff is happening slowly in Bangalore With Tech support. Newz from Colleagues in different sites like Hyderabad, Delhi, etc layoff has already happenned in few departments. This has already happened with Customer care, Bangalore in the previous month. With some of the people whom i happened to meet... These were the answers...
Everybody (AM, CEC, etc) were aware about their metrics over last few quarters...
They were not the last atleast amongs their direct reportees entity respectively....
Clearly as Ganesh said that this bottom 10% list would be formed looking up on their performance...
The other people whose scores/metrics are still below these selected few are retained....
Management have no answers for this as to why others who are still not doing so better were not selected...
Subjective rating cannot be too high i believe when it comes to 10% list as most performance come from metrics...however by the look of the things it does not sound too lackluster.
Any newz about this please do not hesitate to update. |

Hey all,
Today got to know that RS'es Managers (Current B3 Levels) who are into managing RS'es and also possible cross functional areas with similar designations are being asked to take calls as well. It looks like although there was initially 10% layoff... There seems to be more than that with the kind of churn happenning around. All these executions are happening with Chandra Venkatesan who is the Site director for CTS entity Bangalore. (What was he doing about a month back - Vacation enjoying holidays)
From the feedback obtained from many friends the firing session was really firey/bad (irreputable, not being treated with respect, etc) if the alternate option of taking calls were not chosen for a few.
From whatever is heard as of now... The list prepared by HR about the so called bottom 10% needs to executed and sent to Dell himself by 30th as per rumors. So the process of chucking people or putting them in alternate call taking roles should be completed shortly.
Also those who are quitting/ not interested in taking up calls the rumors are not to sign for the Call taking process which forces the company to pay 1 month or 3 months (unsure about the period) pay. (Cost cutting happens better if one signs for taking the call taking role).

BTW, Megadeth Rocks... Music does not suck... Listening/playing songs in Dell during work is against some Dell's Policy.... But hey i play it on phone with earbuds on... Megadeth and other bands i listen to continue to rock... as with Dell about music ... I have got three words for you....Sony ericsson rocks...  |

Hey all,
Any time Rocke-T-Sinetist... Today Many of the good some great TSS/RS'es Managers were asked to quit. From the information we know something like this was said by Chandra...
We are thankful that you worked with us so far. At this moment we do not have the job that suits your porfile and were provided with reliving letters.
They were asked to handover laptops and submit badge for which HR journalists and security accompanied and they were escorted to cabs to send them back home. Few others who were chucked out were told not to park their cars anywhere outside company's gate as well.. Very very sad
SAD BUT TRUE... People like few of these TSS Managers deserve some respect as they have been working for like 6-7 years. If they talk to them like this there aint no garuntee about anyone else.
Few Managers who were in IC (induvidual contributors) role were asked to take calls or leave. There was no such option given to TSS managers (i thought C1, C2 call taking roles would come... if they come... who else will be good enough for those roles then)
Few Area Managers, CEC/Voice coach - managers were sent out without any options.(CHAT, OWR, etc) Others include DA teams, CCMU (Kana email pasters), MOD's (Manager on Duty). So far CCCO's have not been touched, however there are more rumors that they are having this tomorrow. Some of the newly hired managers are also supposed to be chucked out tomorrow. All of these were in US CTS process...
Looks like there is another rumor that more of these things will repeat again for next quarter (so then it will become 40-50% lay off, as already it is over 10% now i believe)
News from EMEA. The process has started not much churn found as of now.
News from CANADA support... Going on.. TSS, Managers, CEC, being chucked.
Looks very dangerous as of now... No clue were all of these leads (next Quarter more firing/call taking roles) beyond that no common man knows.

Hey guyz,
Firing sessions continues... Some CEC's were given no option and were asked to quit.
ARE tests etc may be considered seriously... another thing to possibly axe people who are in TSS/CEC to B1 call taking roles...
Same things are happening across Canada and EMEA entity...
In Canada, AM's TSS, CECs are asked to move/take calls...
More updates to be coming soon.
